My wife and I have been at Dive now since Nov of 2012. We are excited to see what the Lord has for us as we serve Bedford area Jr Highers and High Schoolers! God has called us to love Him, love on those around us and to use His message of love and restoration to speak in to students and their families lives. Nicole (my better half!) and I have been married since July 10, 2010 and currently are a family of 7; Matt, Nicole, Declan, Denver, Oaklyn, Hollyn and Shiloh our Goldendoodle. I graduated from Henderson County High School in 2003 and from Oakland City University in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies . I enjoy playing and watching just about any sport; basketball, volleyball, golf and etc. Our Ministry Goal: To see God’s will be done in students lives as they grow spiritual deeper in love with the Lord, which will result in a life surrendered to God.

My family and I have been attending Dive Christian Church since spring 2019.  I grew up in church and loved the Lord, however my husband and I struggled to find a church home that fit all of our criteria.  The moment we walked into Dive we knew we were home and God had called us here for a reason.  We are a family of four. My husband is Braeten.  You will see him driving a UPS truck on the weekdays and on the weekends he will be in the backyard grilling or playing with our two sons, Logan and Carter.  Logan is a sweet soul that loves every person he meets and loves to teach others about everything – even things he has no idea what he’s talking about!  His favorite things are riding bikes, swimming, playing in the mud, and working on stuff with Dad or Grandpa.  Carter is our goofy, wild man who will take any opportunity to make you smile or laugh.  He enjoys all things outdoors like cutting grass with Dad, walking in the woods, and helping Mom make breakfast.  When I’m not teaching and hanging with the children of Dive you will find me researching and trying the latest home remedies, crocheting, drinking a delicious cup of coffee, lounging in the pool, or reading.  The verse that defines my life is The Great Commission Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” It is my ultimate goal to share the love of Christ with those around me and be a light that will draw others to develop a true and deep relationship with our Creator.  I can’t wait to meet your family!

Hi, I was born in Indianapolis, and raised in Brown County where I attended Brown County schools. After high school I went to Indiana University and earned a B.S. in nursing. I've worked for eleven years as a pediatric nurse until  retiring from nursing a few years ago to homeschool our daughter, Emma, who is nine years old and entering 3rd grade!  Cody, my husband, works for Indiana University as a Systems Engineer. I'm excited to be able to work with our church family.
